Mirzapur fame Divyenndu Sharma struggle days 32 meals OTT popular star


Mirzapur Famous Actor: Every actor in Bollywood has to go through some struggle or the other. Some people’s path becomes easier as they move ahead while others do not reach their destination even after a long time. Living life in Mumbai during the struggle is not an easy task. Many people break down, but only among those who survive, some emerge as a star.

Such is the story of actor Divyendu Sharma. Today he is a star, Mirzapur’s Munna Bhaiya is famous on OTT, but the story of his struggle is equally inspiring. There was a time when he barely had Rs 32 in his pocket so that he could eat food during the day.

Made a mark in 13 years
Divyendu Sharma has been in the film industry for 13 years. During this period he did many small and big roles. He had been doing work since 2007, but his first big recognition came from Pyaar Ka Punchnama. He played the character of Liquid very well in this film. But you know this was not his first film. Before that he had done a small role in Madhuri Dixit’s film Aaja Nachle. But during that time no one had noticed anything special about him.

Divyendu Sharma was nothing special in studies. He himself had described himself as a bad student in an interview. Somehow he had secured 49 percent marks in 10th. Because of this he had to study arts. During his college days, he showed interest in studies and secured an excellent 84 percent marks in 12th. After this he graduated in Political Science Honors from Kirori Mal College.


Reached Mumbai via Pune
Divyendu Sharma took the route to Pune for acting. After college, he joined FTII in Pune. Passed out from here in 2006. After this he reached Mumbai and struggled for about 3-4 years and then he got his first big break.

Talking about his struggling days, in an interview given to ETimes, Divyendu Sharma revealed that he used to live in a rented room with four friends in Goregaon. Here he used to help his friends in work to earn a few rupees. Even to eat food for Rs 32, he had to work hard to earn money.

This is how he became an OTT star
Divyendu got his first big role in Pyar Ka Punchnama. After this he did David Dhawan’s film Chashme Baddoor. He was also seen in Akshay Kumar’s film Toilet- Ek Prem Katha. He was also seen in Shahid Kapoor’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu. Despite working in popular films, Divyendu Sharma’s career in films was not progressing rapidly.

Then he turned to OTT and the role of Munna Tripathi made him famous among the youth. In the Mirzapur web series, he worked with a big artist like Pankaj Tripathi and played his character very well. Recently he will be seen in the crime-comedy film Margao Express.
